Job Description

Location: Henry Ford Family Medicine - Townsend, 400 Hinckley BlvdSte 100

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

 

Townsend Ambulatory Family Medicine is a high-volume outpatient clinic that includes both Family Medicine and the Ambulatory Diagnostic Center (ADC). The location serves approximately 350 patients daily, with Family Medicine seeing about 200 patients and the ADC seeing about 150 patients.

As one of the largest clinic locations, Townsend offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on providing quality patient care and excellent service. The clinic is supported by providers, medical assistants, customer service representatives, and other support staff working together to meet the needs of patients and the community.

The Nurse Supervisor oversees daily clinic operations, staff scheduling, quality initiatives, and patient service while providing hands-on support to the team as needed. This position is dedicated to the Townsend location and plays a key role in ensuring efficient clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.

 

Role Overview

As a Clinic/Department Supervisor, you'll provide clinical leadership and supervisory support to a team of healthcare professionals, including RNs, MAs, and LPNs. This role ensures the delivery of quality, compassionate patient care while fostering a supportive and professional practice environment. Your expertise will be vital in coordinating care, mentoring staff, and upholding Henry Ford Health's commitment to excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervisory support to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Coordinate and deliver quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager, healthcare team, and medical group leaders to maintain a quality practice setting.
  • Participate in planning and budget development for the clinic/department.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS or ACLS certification per Henry Ford Health policy.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of nursing experience in a clinical environment.
  • Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory Orientation.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Leadership experience.
