Role Overview
As a Team Leader - Optometric Tech, you will play a crucial role in supporting our optometrists by conducting preliminary testing, managing electronic medical records, and assisting with in-office procedures. You will also lead and train your team, manage schedules, and ensure exceptional patient care. Your leadership will be vital in achieving department goals and maintaining high standards of service.

What You Will Do
- Assist doctors with comprehensive visual exams, medical exams, and in-office procedures.
- Perform preliminary testing and manage electronic medical record entries.
- Conduct contact lens classes and follow-ups with patients.
- Train and support the team, ensuring adherence to standardized training programs.
- Create and maintain department schedules, manage patient appointments, and communicate goals to the team.
- Lead and participate in department meetings, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- At least six months of experience as an Optometric Tech.
- Basic math skills.
- Completion of all required training, including the HFHS Leadership Charge training program.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail or hospitality experience.
- American Board of Opticianry Certification (ABOC) and/or National Contact Lens Examiners Certification (NCLE).
