Role Overview

As an Asst-Health Info Mgmt, you will perform essential clerical and technical duties to support the medical records processes and procedures. Your work ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timely availability of health information, which is vital for patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. You will support physicians, healthcare providers, and administrative staff by maintaining the integrity of health records and facilitating the release of information as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Receive, analyze, process, and file health information for completeness, timeliness, and accuracy.
  • Audit the accuracy of electronic and manual entries, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Assist with general clerical duties to maintain smooth operational flow.
  • Process requests for the release of information according to regulatory requirements.
  • Notify physicians and appropriate parties of requests when applicable.
  • Perform clerical/technical duties associated with coding processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to perform clerical and technical duties associated with medical records processes and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in health information management or a related field.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and coding processes.
