Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
A Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is a data-driven professional who uses healthcare, engineering, and operational data to help leaders make informed decisions. At Henry Ford Health (HFH), the BI Analyst supports departmental and organizational goals by gathering, analyzing, and visualizing data, producing actionable insights to improve patient care, quality, operational efficiency, and strategic performance. The BI Analyst collaborates with stakeholders to clarify requirements, identifies & selects appropriate data sources, applies data storytelling techniques to communicate findings, and ensures reporting accuracy in alignment with healthcare regulations. This role focuses on developing operational understanding, enhancing foundational analytic skills, understanding key performance indicators, and building the ability to translate data into meaningful business intelligence.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0-2 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one BI visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau). Strong analytical and engineering problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented, with strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
