Role Overview
As a Security Officer, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of Henry Ford Health¿s facilities, patients, visitors, and employees. Your vigilance helps prevent disturbances, protect property, and maintain a safe environment. This role is essential in upholding the trust and well-being of our community.

What You Will Do
- Monitor Henry Ford Health facilities and properties to protect persons and property against injury or loss.
- Direct visitors, patients, and employees to appropriate locations.
- Intervene to prevent and control disturbances.
- Keep appropriate persons informed of activities, events, and incidents.
- Summon necessary assistance as required.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Maintain a valid unexpired Michigan operator¿s license
- Satisfactorily complete state minimum training certification requirements and required testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospital / Healthcare related security experience
- Prior law enforcement experience in a sworn capacity (Local, State, County, Federal) or four plus (4+) years of military experience with Honorable Discharge

Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), required.
• Preference given to:
- Hospital / Healthcare related security experience
-OR-
- Prior law enforcement experience in a sworn capacity, (Local, State, County, Federal)
-OR-
- Four plus (4+) years of military experience with Honorable Discharge.
• May be required to use an intermediate weapon.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
• Maintain a valid unexpired Michigan operator’s license.
• Satisfactorily complete state minimum training certification requirements and required testing. Annual training and testing requirements must be maintained.
