Role Overview

As an Optometric Assistant, you play a vital role in supporting our optometrists in delivering thorough comprehensive visual exams, medical exams, and in-office procedures. Your work ensures patients receive high-quality care by performing preliminary testing, managing electronic medical records, and assisting with contact lens follow-ups. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our optometric services.

What You Will Do

  • Assist the doctor with comprehensive visual exams, medical exams, and in-office minor medical procedures.
  • Perform preliminary testing and manage electronic medical record entries.
  • Conduct contact lens classes and support contact lens follow-ups.
  • Handle post-exam follow-up tasks and provide support duties as needed.

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Basic math skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous customer service or optometric tech experience.
    • Computer and/or electronic medical records knowledge.
