Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, greets and assists customers by providing information and ensuring that they reach the proper destinations. Monitors and directs driveway traffic and provides general customer relations assistance at lobby entrances.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets and assists HFHS customers in an accommodating and friendly manner by opening doors (vehicle and building) and providing information and direction to the proper destinations.
- Actively seeks out customers in need of assistance and provides general customer relations assistance resolving customer issues and problems at lobby entrances as necessary.
- Locates and provides wheelchairs for patients as necessary and ensures that patients reach their destination if escort is not available.
- Reports to supervisor on a daily basis to discuss operational problems, incidents, and/or unusual situations.
- Informs appropriate departments of any visitors and/or media personnel requesting to see them.
- Works collaboratively with customers and supervision while promoting a team oriented, customer focused environment.
- Must be able to push up to two hundred pounds and lift 50lbs.
- Ability to use telephone effectively and in a courteous manner.
- Responsible for all equipment and supplies necessary to perform job.
- 10.Performs patient escort duties, lobby host and information clerk duties as necessary. 11.Screens and directs visitors to appropriate areas when necessary.
- 12.Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Six months related customer service is required.
- Must be able to read and write and understand oral and written instructions.
- Must be proficient with using a computer including Microsoft Word and email.
- Must always be clean, neat and professional in appearance.
- Must have good interpersonal skills, customer service attributes and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Must demonstrate and always use customer friendly demeanor and etiquette.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- A valid, unrestricted, and insurable Michigan Driver's License in a good standing (three or fewer points) preferred.
