Job Description

Intensive Care Unit is an 26-bed mixed medical-surgical intensive care unit.  The population consists of patients with multiple and complex medical diagnoses including but not limited to DKA, Respiratory Failure, Post-Cardiac Arrest, post-cardiac catheterization with interventions, sepsis, stroke/tPA, surgical procedures requiring q1h monitoring or lifesaving interventions. Our nurses are trained in caring for patients with balloon-pumps and Impella devices. RN utilize the hypothermic protocol in post-arrest patients. It is a great place to grow your knowledge and clinical skills. The RN staff will attend the Critical Care orientation class.  ACLS certification is mandatory within ONE YEAR of employment.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
