About the Department

Location: Hearth Rhythm Institute - Roseville 25195 Kelly Rd Suite A Roseville, MI 48066

From the Hiring manager: Medical office reception/front desk experience required.  Epic experience preferred.  Ability to travel to time share location 1-2 afternoons per week.

Shift: Days 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. No weekends.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works in a customer service capacity providing administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting.
Greets patients and visitors, checks patients in and out, and obtains necessary documentation. 
Verifies and enters demographic information.
Obtains and verifies insurance authorizations/precertification. Completes medical record release requests and schedules/confirms patient appointments.
Enters, reviews and submits charges for patient procedures and services daily. 
Collects co-payments and reconciles all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
Provides general office and clerical support to assigned area.

What You Will Do

  • Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients.
  • Measure and record vital signs, contributing to patient assessments.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and readiness.
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures, facilitating efficient and effective care.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year of related experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. At least one (1) year of related experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred. Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred. Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation.
