Role Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to patients under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership. Your responsibilities will include both administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring a seamless and supportive patient experience. This role is essential in assisting providers during examinations and procedures, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of patient care.

What You Will Do
- Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.
- Obtain and record accurate medical histories from patients.
- Measure and document vital signs, preparing patients for examinations or procedures.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient care delivery.
- Perform a variety of clinical tasks related to ambulatory patient care.
- Travel at least once a week to another office location. Main office is Rochester Hills, secondary locations in Southfield and Macomb
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, or current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, or Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
- Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
