Job Description

Physical Therapist - Home Health Care - City of Detroit - 24 Hours/Week - Day Shift

Location: City of Detroit
Schedule: 24 hours per week, Day shift
On-Call Requirements: Minimum of one weekend per month, plus one summer holiday and one winter holiday
Compensation & Benefits: $6,000 sign-on bonus; eligible for part-time benefits

**Responsibilities:**

Get ready to make a real difference in patients' lives! As a Physical Therapist in our Home Health Care program, you'll:

  • Bring medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs to life, using a dynamic mix of therapeutic techniques—from heat and aquatic therapy to targeted exercises—all tailored to each client's unique needs
  • Work one-on-one with rehabilitative clients to help them overcome pain and reclaim their physical independence in the comfort of their own homes
  • Partner collaboratively with your therapy supervisor to develop and refine treatment strategies that actually work
  • Transform patients' recovery journeys by combining clinical expertise with genuine compassion and encouragement
  • Stay engaged with the latest therapeutic best practices to ensure every client receives top-notch, evidence-based care

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

A specific level of technical knowledge and the applications of various treatment interventions in order to relieve pain and/or restore a physiological function.

  • This level of knowledge is generally obtained through the completion of an accredited bachelor's level program in Physical Therapy.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Current State of Michigan Licensure in order to practice as a registered physical therapist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ability to lift and position clients and to perform treatment modalities.
  • A high level of interpersonal skill is required to effectively interface with clients and physicians.
  • Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
