Occupational Therapist - Home Health Care – Detroit - 24 Hours - Days
$6,000 Sign on Bonus
Eligible for Part-Time Benefits
The position will be in the Territory of City of Detroit.
**GENERAL SUMMARY**
Ready to make a real difference in people's lives? As an Occupational Therapist in Home Health Care, you'll work under the supportive guidance of our therapy supervisor to create and deliver dynamic treatment programs that help clients reclaim their independence and thrive! You'll organize and lead an exciting variety of sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities designed to help clients regain physical or mental functioning and adapt to their unique needs.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Design and implement personalized, engaging treatment programs that empower clients to reach their goals and maximize their quality of life
- Conduct creative sensorimotor and educational activities that challenge and inspire clients while supporting their recovery journey
- Facilitate recreational and social activities that boost morale, build confidence, and foster meaningful connections
- Collaborate with our talented therapy team to develop comprehensive care strategies tailored to each client's needs
- Document progress and outcomes with enthusiasm, ensuring clear communication across the care team
- Adapt and innovate treatment approaches to keep clients motivated and engaged throughout their therapy
- Build strong, supportive relationships with clients and their caregivers to create a positive healing environment
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS:
·Four (4) year baccalaureate degree program accredited by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
·Registration by the State of Michigan as an occupational therapist.
·Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:
·One (1) year of clinical experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
·May need to lift, carry, bend, stoop or be otherwise physically active in the normal course of job duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
·Works in the client's home which is an uncontrolled environment.
·May be exposed to potentially infectious materials, bloodborne-disease pathogens and hazardous waste.
·Drives to and from the clients' homes located in the Detroit Metropolitan area in varied weather and traffic conditions.
·Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
