Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
Schedule: 34 hours a week, Monday-Friday
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Be the welcoming face and heartbeat of our Primary Care Clinic! As a Front Desk Clerk, you'll champion the patient experience from the moment they walk through our doors. You'll orchestrate seamless administrative operations while delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic medical environment.
- Champion patient satisfaction by greeting and welcoming patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for their clinic experience.
- Drive operational efficiency by expertly checking patients in and out, collecting essential documentation, and accurately verifying and entering demographic information into our systems.
- Navigate the authorization landscape by obtaining and verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications, ensuring patients and providers have the information they need.
- Manage critical administrative tasks including processing medical record release requests and orchestrating appointment scheduling and confirmations with precision and care.
- Optimize financial operations by promptly entering, reviewing, and submitting charges for patient procedures and services, collecting co-payments, and meticulously reconciling daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
- Support team success by providing comprehensive office and clerical support to your assigned area, enabling providers to focus on patient care.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
- Medical Office experience preferred
- Medical terminology experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
