Work Schedule

Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week)

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Assists provider by documenting the provider-patient encounter during the patient exam exactly as it is verbalized.

Responsibilities:

  • Accompanies provider into the patient examination room to document the provider's encounter with the patient.
  • Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as indicated by the provider.
  • Transcribes patient orders including but not limited to laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.
  • Documents procedures performed by the provider.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • High School diploma equivalency
  • OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
