Job Description

Ready to be a medication superhero? As a Pharmacy Technician working under the guidance of a registered pharmacist, you'll be the backbone of our pharmacy operations! You'll master the art of prescription processing, expertly entering data into our computer systems, verifying that every medication is exactly right, and executing quality control checks that keep our patients safe and sound.

Your day-to-day adventures include:

  • Keeping our pharmacy inventory in tip-top shape through strategic stocking and smart organization
  • Handling payments and cash transactions with accuracy and confidence
  • Navigating insurance claims and prior authorizations like a pro
  • Packaging and labeling medications with precision and care
  • Staying sharp on all pharmacy regulations and HIPAA privacy requirements—we take patient confidentiality seriously!
  • Maintaining a clean, organized workspace that makes everyone smile
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and answering medication questions with expertise

You'll collaborate closely with your supervising pharmacist and pharmacy team to ensure everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance. Think of yourself as part of a mission-driven crew dedicated to excellent patient care!

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Minimum of six (6) months of retail pharmacy experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Requires valid State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license.
