Job Description
Ready to make a real difference in patients' lives? Here's what you'll be doing:
- Deliver Expert Endocrinology Care – Evaluate and manage patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, and metabolic conditions with the clinical expertise and compassion they deserve
- Build Meaningful Patient Relationships – Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide education that empowers patients to take control of their health
- Collaborate Like a Pro – Work alongside our talented endocrinology team, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure seamless, coordinated patient care
- Master the Clinic Flow – See patients in our outpatient clinic Monday through Friday, bringing your A-game to every appointment
- Go the Extra Mile – Occasionally cover inpatient weekend shifts (typically 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM) to support our hospital's endocrinology services
- Balance Your Caseload – Manage a diverse patient population with 90% adult and 10% pediatric cases, keeping your clinical skills sharp across age groups
- Document with Precision – Maintain accurate, thorough medical records and documentation that reflects the quality care you're providing
- Stay Sharp – Keep current with the latest endocrinology best practices, clinical guidelines, and evidence-based treatment approaches
Qualifications
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Active Michigan Licensure as Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience in one of the following: primary care, internal medicine, or hospitalist medicine
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to manage complex patient populations
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Prior experience or exposure to endocrinology or metabolic disorders
- Experience managing pediatric patients
- Familiarity with diabetes management and thyroid disorders
- Current knowledge of evidence-based endocrinology guidelines
- Experience in outpatient clinic settings
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
