Job Description

Join our dynamic invasive cardiology team and take a leadership role in delivering exceptional, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. As a Registered Nurse in Invasive Cardiology, you'll be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing the comprehensive nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document outstanding care and patient/family education. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to drive positive patient outcomes and continuously improve care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality, compassionate patient care in the invasive cardiology setting, demonstrating clinical excellence and evidence-based nursing practice
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop comprehensive, individualized nursing care plans that address complex cardiac conditions and patient needs
  • Execute skilled nursing interventions with precision, including pre- and post-procedure care for invasive cardiac procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and acute patient management
  • Effectively delegate and supervise nursing tasks to team members while maintaining accountability for quality outcomes and patient safety
  • Maintain meticulous, timely documentation of patient care, clinical observations, and interventions in accordance with regulatory standards and institutional policies
  • Serve as a communication hub, proactively sharing pertinent patient and family information with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated, seamless care delivery
  • Identify variances from established patient goals and actively participate in developing and implementing innovative solutions to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide compassionate patient and family education regarding cardiac conditions, procedures, medications, and lifestyle modifications to promote engagement and recovery
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by participating in quality initiatives, peer collaboration, and professional development opportunities

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • BSN preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
  • Health care provider certification (BCLS).
