Job Description
Status: Contingent
Shift: 6 PM - 2:30 AM
Ready to be the backbone of our lab operations? Here's what you'll be doing:
- Master the Art of Specimen Logistics: Process, package, and ship specimens to our partner laboratories with precision and care—think of yourself as a specimen's personal delivery coordinator!
- Be the Problem-Solving Hero: Work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and keep everyone happy. You'll be the go-to person who makes things run smoothly.
- Keep Your Eye on the Clock: Monitor turnaround times like a pro, ensuring cases move through the pipeline efficiently and nothing falls through the cracks.
- Data Entry Wizard: Enter orders and results into our systems with speed and accuracy—your fingers will become your superpower!
- Triage & Track Champion: Manage and track a variety of cases and materials, keeping everything organized and moving in the right direction.
All of this requires solid clinical laboratory experience in sample processing, but if you've got the skills, you'll find this role incredibly rewarding!
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in accurate and rapid data entry with good spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Must be able to transcribe Pathology reports using laboratory information systems with a high degree of accuracy.
- Requires rapid data entry with good spelling and grammar, proofreading for accuracy and completeness, and follow-up as needed with customers for missing information.
- Candidates must have the ability to code diagnoses into the Lab and patient information systems. Competency to learn and use information systems and dictating equipment.
