Job Description

Department: Float Staffing

Location: Henry Ford Rochester  - 1101 W University Drive Rochester, MI 48307

Schedule: Part-Time (24 Hours/Week), Every3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Shift: Midnight Shift 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Performs basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities:

  • Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
  • Assists in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
  • Removes visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and reports as appropriate.
  • Records all observations.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
