Job Description

Ready to dive into the exciting world of pharmacy? As a Pharmacy Intern at Henry Ford Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy, you'll be at the heart of the action! You'll get hands-on experience in all aspects of our drug distribution system while collaborating with our talented pharmacist team to deliver top-notch clinical services to patients in your assigned area. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist (as required by Michigan law), you'll gain real-world experience that'll set you up for success in your pharmacy career.

  • Actively participate in the full spectrum of drug distribution operations and get comfortable with our pharmacy systems
  • Partner with experienced pharmacists to provide clinical pharmacy services and support patient care initiatives
  • Assist with medication dispensing, verification, and quality assurance processes
  • Contribute to a collaborative healthcare team environment while learning best practices in inpatient pharmacy
  • Support pharmacists in clinical decision-making and patient counseling opportunities
  • Help maintain accurate pharmacy records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Must be enrolled or a graduate from a school or college of Pharmacy. Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Intern by the Michigan Board of Pharmacy.
