Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Expert Neonatal Care – Provide comprehensive, evidence-based clinical care to critically ill and premature newborns in our state-of-the-art NICU environment
  • Collaborate with Excellence – Work alongside experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and Neonatologists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Lead Clinical Assessments – Conduct thorough patient evaluations, diagnose conditions, and make clinical decisions that directly impact patient outcomes
  • Manage Complex Cases – Handle the full spectrum of neonatal conditions, from routine care to high-acuity situations requiring advanced interventions
  • Prescribe & Optimize Medications – Order and manage medications and treatments within your scope of practice to support patient recovery
  • Communicate with Families – Partner with parents and caregivers to provide education, support, and compassionate guidance during critical moments
  • Champion Quality & Safety – Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain the highest standards of patient safety and care quality
  • Mentor & Support – Help foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture that supports professional growth and excellence
  • Document Thoroughly – Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and records in compliance with all regulatory requirements

 

Qualifications

 

  • Current Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) license in Michigan
  • NNP certification from the National Certification Corporation (NCC)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited program
  • Previous experience working in neonatal care
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (can be obtained after hire)
  • DEA registration for prescribing privileges

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a NICU setting
  • Experience with high-acuity neonatal patients
