Job Description
Position Overview: This is a 60-90 day temporary assignment, non-benefit eligible position. The successful candidate will be assigned to their area of specialty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety
- Perform triage functions and assist with emergency response protocols as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and clinical documentation in compliance with hospital standards
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and quality assurance measures
- Work assigned schedule of 36 hours per week (72 hours per pay period)
- Work every other weekend as scheduled
- Work every other holiday as scheduled
- Fulfill the complete 56-112 day schedule commitment
- Maintain current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing throughout the assignment
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when assigned to areas of greatest clinical need
Required Experience: 2 years of related nursing work experience in a clinical setting.
