**GENERAL SUMMARY:** Under the general direction of the Manager of Employee Safety, the Employee Safety Specialist is responsible for:

• Collecting, analyzing, and sharing safety data to identify opportunities for improvement
• Developing and implementing employee safety interventions in partnership with site leadership and HR
• Supporting the development and oversight of comprehensive employee safety programs, including performance improvement initiatives
• Ensuring system-wide Employee Safety recommendations are implemented at local sites with accountability to the CEO
• Communicating effectively with employees, leadership, physicians, and external stakeholders to advance safety initiatives

The successful candidate must be a collaborative team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**

**Required:**

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
• 3-5 years of professional experience in employee safety, occupational safety, clinical safety, or quality assurance
• Demonstrated knowledge of MIOSHA and OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

**Preferred:**

• Experience developing and delivering educational programs and training initiatives
• Experience with safety data analysis and performance improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with system-wide safety program implementation and oversight
