Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Cloud Solution Architect to design and deliver end-to-end data solutions across cloud environments. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and compliant architectures using AWS and Azure, with strong emphasis on data engineering and streaming technologies. The position requires close collaboration with product and engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives while adhering to strict banking and regulatory standards.

What you will do:

• Design end-to-end cloud-based data solutions across AWS and Azure platforms.
• Develop scalable and secure architectures aligned with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Implement and optimise data pipelines using batch and streaming technologies.
• Utilise tools and services including Apache Kafka, AWS S3, AWS Glue, Lambda, APIs, and PySpark.
• Support data processing, storage, and transformation across distributed systems.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and governance in line with banking standards.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation using tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Wiki platforms.
• Create architectural diagrams using frameworks such as C4 and tools like Mermaid.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and support across delivery teams.
• Collaborate on integration of ETL tools and platforms including Databricks where applicable.
• Review and optimise existing data architectures for performance and scalability.

• Proven experience designing cloud-based solutions with strong focus on data engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS and Azure services including S3, Glue, Lambda, and APIs.
• Strong experience with Apache Kafka streaming and PySpark for batch and streaming data processing.
• Experience with Databricks and ETL tools within enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of secure data management and compliance within banking or regulated industries.
• Experience working closely with product and engineering teams in agile environments.
• Proficiency in creating architecture documentation and diagrams using tools such as Confluence, Jira, Mermaid, and C4 models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to design scalable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
