Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an Automation Test Specialist to support the Minerva VAT TxR programme. The project aims to unify RSDD APIs TXR002 and ADE into a single central calculations data provider, reducing service complexity and streamlining change management across impacted domains. The role will join a new Scrum team within the Minerva Platform to deliver Ingestion and Risking capabilities within the SAS Platform including IDP, with a focus on automated testing across SAS Viya 4 applications and data pipelines.

What you will do:

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, demos and reporting as part of a cross-functional Scrum team.
• Design and implement automation test strategies and plans for SAS Viya 4 applications including UI-based Visual Analytics and Intelligent Decisioning, as well as integration testing of data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest and JUnit, integrating them into CI and CD pipelines.
• Ensure appropriate automation tooling is implemented and utilised to meet business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers and Business Analysts to align test coverage with business requirements and technical specifications.
• Confirm and implement the test data strategy to support automated testing activities.
• Maintain and evolve the automation test suite to support regression, performance and integration testing.
• Support integration of automated testing within Git-based CI and CD pipelines including Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within test environments including SAS Viya containerised deployments using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to test data management and environment provisioning strategies aligned with Enterprise Architecture integration patterns.

• Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks within analytics or data platforms.
• Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, PyTest and JUnit.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI and CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Experience working with SAS Viya platforms including Visual Analytics and Intelligent Decisioning.
• Understanding of containerised environments such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business teams.
