As Field/Service Technician, you will set up and fine tune hardware and software in oil and gas drilling platforms and vessels. This means, you must go offshore!

You'll also configure IP networks and CCTV systems to ensure connectivity and configure and deploy applications. This may require on-site visits to suppliers, particularly in The Netherlands, for troubleshooting and to ensure a smooth deployment process.

Before you go offshore, you will be supporting the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). You will create/update detailed technical documentation conveying complex technical processes, and setups in a clear and concise manner (CAD).

If you are not an expert yet, you are planning to become one and you: 

1. Are a resident of The Netherlands and have a permanent work permit (we do not sponsor visas nor relocations).
2. Have a technical degree such as control systems engineer/technician, electrical engineer/technician, instrumentation engineer/technician or equivalent.
3. Have at least 3 years of hands-on experience as an implementation engineer or equivalent role.
4. Ideally, you have at least 3 years of hands-on experience and proven knowledge of Linux configurations, troubleshooting methodologies as well as in creating technical documentation and testing set-ups so that you are able to take on operating system installations and hardware network configurations to documentation, application deployment, and rigorous testing procedures.
5. Have exceptional English communication and people skills, adept at conveying complex technical information to both tech and non-tech stakeholders.
6. Are willing to travel abroad and to offshore locations.
