What you’ll do 

As an IoT Engineer, you use Python and communication protocols to enable machine to machine data sharing. Thanks to your practical solutions, physical devices, sensors, and other hardware share data smoothly!  

The tools and technologies you will be using involve ‘requests’ to manage HTTP, PyModbus for Modbus, manipulating historical data and struct.pack to play around with protocol data. 

You are hands-on, love machines and solving technical problems. You can create, test, troubleshoot, debug, and implement these solutions.

Who are you? 

Honestly, we don't even need to spell out this role for you. You live and breathe it. To thrive in this team, it's important to work independently, be a quick learner, and have experience with IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, and WebSocket. Next to that you know how to work according to IoT security principles and best practices. Moreover, you stand out through your problem-solving ability and analytical skills. Technically, you are resourceful, curious, and eager to learn. You might not know something (yet), but when it's necessary, you'll figure it out in no time. 

Next to that you:  

1. Have at least 3 years of proven hands-on experience working with Python on (IoT/embedded) devices using GIT and automated testing.
2. Are a resident of The Netherlands and have a permanent work permit (we do not sponsor visas nor relocations).
3. Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a related field. 
4. Have exceptional English communication and people skills, adept at conveying complex information to both expert and non-expert stakeholders. 

And it would be great if you have affinity with Docker, Azure and Linux and experience in a fast-growing scale-up international environment.
