As our new 2d Animator you will drive the animation quality of all of our characters on an unannounced project. You'll be collaborating with Directors to deliver an amazing game experience, take concepts from ideation to implementation for player characters, enemies, bosses, NPCs and more.

Responsibilities

• Help craft the look of high resolution 2d Player Characters, NPCs, Enemies and Bosses for use in our Unreal Engine project

• Collaborate with the Game Director, Artists and Designers to create character animations that fit the visual style of the game

• Support team members on the project to further all interests and nurture a collaborative environment

• Define the animation quality for the project

• Work closely with production and help define priorities, optimize workflows and processes

• Lend your expertise in conversations as a vital voice in the process

• You have 5+ years of experience as a 2d Animator (preferably in game development, though not necessary)

• You have experience collaborating on small to medium scale teams 

• You have excellent knowledge of keyframe animations and their role in game feel  

• You are flexible and willing to learn new tools to accommodate a workflow for engineering, design and animation to unify behind

• You are motivated to constantly expand your knowledge and expertise

• You are a strong communicator and can easily discuss and negotiate with people throughout the hierarchy

• You are highly organized, and are able to partner with production to ensure schedules and milestones are meet

• Nimble and able to prioritize and problem-solve quickly

• Bonus: experience with Unreal Engine 4/5
