Welcome to the Hearing and Speech Center of Florida, a 90 year old non for profit serving individuals with educational and specialized needs.  We are one of 45 Hearing and Speech Centers in the nation and focus on our mission to serve in rehabilitation/habilitation.
We are a full service providers and offer our clients Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Educational and Behavior Therapy.  We are also educational service providers and operate a School. We have a full practice for center based services and have community contracts throughout the county at various locations and have a school located near the main operations office.  We are also owners of a Montessori School and are working with local hospitals, schools, etc. By working with the HSCF, you will be giving back to the community and learn about nonprofit management, grants, and fundraising and more!

Job Description

The Administrator / Patient Care Coordinator is an Administrative Team member and works primarily on the following:
insurance verification and authorization including all private insurances and Medicaid via EQ health

benefit explanations to patients/helping them with our grants and opportunities

 Use of EHR data entry); tracking authorizations; running reports;  coordinating schedules

communicating with team members and Dr. offices to ensure continuity of care

managing schedules and teams

working directly with Medical billing team--review all billing and collections in addition to working directly with the Division

Attending and assisting patients at the front desk as needed

Qualifications

Team member must be knowledgeable with portals and medical front desk process for patient services as related to medical management, and billing processes.

Qualifications:

-Experience in a medical front desk setting-ideally a therapy practice (insurance verification, authorizations, scheduling, all matters related to patient care)

-Understanding of EMR system-program software used for scheduling, billing, etc.

-Excellent “People skills” and communication with staff, clients and Dr.'s

-Must be fluent Bilingual speaker-able to speak and write fluently in English & Spanish.

-Have exceptional organizational skills for data tracking, scheduling, and inventory.

-be familiar with commonly used office programs such as outlook, word & internet
