Job Description
Job Title: HEDIS Practice Advisor
Are you an experienced Healthcare Professional with HEDIS experience looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? Position Summary:
As the HEDIS Practice Advisor, you would be responsible for advising and educating Provider practices in appropriate HEDIS measures, medical record documentation guidelines and HEDIS ICD-9/CPT coding in accordance with NCQA requirements.
Hours for this Position: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (flexibility due to travel)

More Insight of Daily Responsibilities:
- Collects, summarizes and trends provider performance data
- Collaborates with Provider Relations to improve provider performance in areas of Quality, Risk Adjustment, Operations (claims and encounters)
- Communicates with external data sources as needed to gather data necessary to measure identified outcomes
- Supports quality improvement program studies and HEDIS as needed, requesting records from providers, maintaining databases, and researching to identify members' provider encounter history
- Participates in or coordinates with other department projects as needed
- Participates in and represents plan at community, health department, collaborative and other organizational meetings focusing on quality improvement, member education, and disparity programs, as assigned
Qualifications
What We Look For:
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Public Health, Nursing, Psychology, Health Administration, or related health field
- 2+ years of experience in HEDIS record collection and analytical review and/or Quality Improvement
- Licenses and Certifications can include:
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Health Care Quality and Management (HCQM)
- Certified Healthcare Professional (CHP)
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
