• Med Tech performs a full range of laboratory tests-from simple blood tests, to more complex tests to uncover diseases.
• The Tango Optimo is the blood bank instrument in use
• Their Laboratory Information system is Sunquest.
• The testing done includes ABO, Rh, Antibody screen, crossmatch, antigen typing, antibody ID.
• The blood bank issues more than 50 units a day and receives approximately 75 specimens per day. The transfusion service primarily supports an active surgical service as well as an oncology clinic.
• The tech does flex to cover stat serology testing such as flu, mono, RSV, Rotavirus, bacterial antigens on CSF, and rapid MRSA screen using Cepheid GeneXpert.
• Expected to complete Quality Control requirements of the section.
• Expected to perform routine and corrective maintenance on equipment.

• 3-5 years’ experience as a Med Tech
• Blood bank experience required

Hours:

10:00 pm – 6:00 am or 11:00 pm – 7:00 am

Compensation:

$28 to $31/hr.
