The Pharmacy will be responsible for translating prescriptions filled out by the MDO and enter it on the patient’s profile. As a Pharmacy Technician you will look for patient’s allergies, therapies, and current medication on different forms and enter them on the patient profile history.

Major Job Duties:

• Translate prescriptions filled out by the MDO and enters it on the patients profile Enter prescriptions from an imaged prescription within an order status. 

• Technician also enters any necessary supplies in accordance with state regulations and enters any new allergy, medications, or health conditions identified. 

• Look for patient’s allergies, therapies, and current medication on different forms and enter them on the patient profile history. 

• Pre-QA Technicians - Perform the initial entry (translation) of the prescription from an imaged prescription within a referral status. 

• You will also input any allergy, medications, or health condition information on the referral into the patient’s profile. Verifies all information is complete on the rx and all necessary information is entered on the patients profile. 

• HS diploma or GED

• Must have State of Tennessee Pharm Tech License

• Must have PTCB certification

• Minimum 1 year experience in a retail pharmacy setting

• Experience with data entry

• Good typing skills and computer knowledge (proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Good job tenure

• Clear background and valid education
