Are you an experienced Medical Technologist looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? Do you want the chance to advance your career by joining a rapidly growing company? If you answered “yes" to any of these questions – this is the position for you!

Daily Responsibilities:  

• The Tango Optimo is the blood bank instrument in use

• Their Laboratory Information system is Sunquest.

• The testing done includes ABO, Rh, Antibody screen, crossmatch, antigen typing, antibody ID.

• The blood bank issues more than 50 units a day and receives approximately 75 specimens per day. The transfusion service primarily supports an active surgical service as well as an oncology clinic.

• The tech does flex to cover stat serology testing such as flu, mono, RSV, Rotavirus, bacterial antigens on CSF, and rapid MRSA screen using Cepheid GeneXpert.

Requirements: 

• 5 years’ experience as a Med Tech (Serology and Microbiology Licensed in the state of Florida) in a hospital setting required

• Blood bank experience required in a hospital setting.

• Experience working with manual tube methods and preferably Tango instrument as well.

Hours for this Position:

• Monday to Friday - 3rd shift – 10:00pm – 6:30am

• Pay Rate: $23-25/hour plus $5.00 in differential for the night shift from 11pm – 7am.
