Job Description

Hours: Daytime Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM

Daily Responsibilities:

•    Provides proofing support on claims submittals to double check totals, verbiage, calculations or general accuracy prior to client submission
•    Obtains data files and generates reports for audits by extracting data from downloads and/or imported data files as requested by auditor.
•    Leverages in-house proprietary software platform and alerts manager of system issues or other issues impacting productivity.
•    Facilitates responses to general inquiries and data requests from both internal and external customer and works closely with payers and providers to understand claims and expedite effective communication and collection
•    Accountable for day-to-day tasks associated with A/R outstanding claims, including: following-up on unpaid claims and reviewing accounts on a regular basis.
•    Adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations and maintains strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3+ years of healthcare, insurance, or billing/collections exp. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, must be able to build relationships quickly and work as part of a team.
  • Strong Written, Verbal, and Interpersonal skills.  
  • Excellent telephone etiquette 
  • Strong attention to detail/organizational skills
  • Adaptable to change with strong problem solving skills
