Job Description

Candidate will be responsible for handing both inbound and outbound calls with members in order to ensure that members are completing annual visits and assisting in the scheduling of those visits. Candidate will provide support to any additional issues that may arise during call (will be trained on how to handle member issues and who/how to route that issue). 

Ensures contract compliance with State mandated cultural and linguistic, health education requirements, or other programs required by contract. Assists with the State/Region/Local Needs Assessment document and identify/develop resources to meet health education needs.


MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Defines the marketing environment through development of key stakeholder criteria, identification of desirable community partners, availability of local programs and opportunities for marketing programs and services.
  • Provides/promotes provider training on Culture and Linguistics to assure compliance with government mandated health education programs, and health education referral system.
  • Establishes positive relationships with community based organizations and other key partners to gain understanding of the cultural and linguistic needs of members.
  • Recommends health education programs based on analysis of State/Regional/Local health statistics, disease prevalence, census data, and health care service usage.
  • Ensures the cultural and linguistic needs of members are met by programs and services.
  • Maps community based assets and collaborates with key stakeholders to leverage available resources for development of new and accessibility to existing health education/promotion programs.
  • Develops and implements strategies that promote local health education resources and address identified member health education needs. Negotiates and maintains health education contracts for member services

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Licensures/Qualifications:

  • Requires BA in Public Health, Health Education, Community Health or related field
  • 2 years of related professional experience (or any combination of EDU/EXP that would provide an equivalent background)
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Comfortable with cold calling members and quickly building a rapport
  • Good internet research and data entry skills
  • Must have home internet
  • Well spoken, engaging, and able to build rapport with members
