Job Description

The Quality Assurance and Audit Manager is responsible for implementing and managing a comprehensive internal and external Quality Assurance (QA) program for primary healthcare services.  This role ensures compliance with relevant health service requirements and standards. The manager will conduct audits, monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborate with stakeholders to improve the delivery of patients. Additionally, the manager will establish an audit plan and schedule as part of the transition in for new primary healthcare services.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development and implementation of audit plans and schedules during the transition to new primary healthcare services.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal and external QA program to measure compliance with health service requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits according to established standards and the planned audit schedule.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external healthcare providers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to improve quality and compliance.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Governance Lead, Chief Health Advisor, and Director of Clinical Services. 

Qualifications

Possess exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and advanced writing skills, emotional intelligence, and exceptional verbal communication, along with intermediate MS Office proficiency, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels, meet deadlines, take initiative, and adapt my working hours as needed. 

Qualifications: 

  • Quality Assurance Framework Auditor or Certificate IV in Quality Audits / Certified in ISO 9001:2008 or ISO 9001:2015. or NSQHSS/RACGP clinical auditing experience.
  • Clinical Audit certificate or related experience desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications highly desirable, but not mandatory. 

Experience: 

  • Hands-on audit experience across multiple industries, with a preference for healthcare.
  • In-house consultancy experience highly desirable.
  • Project management exposure preferred.
