We are currently seeking an interim Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director with expertise in PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly). This position will serve as a PACE expert with a client running a PACE program in PA;
The Executive Director is responsible for the leadership and management for a client running the program PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) health plan for frail seniors. The executive director has final accountability for the performance and operation of the PACE center (and any alternative care sites) and community-based services such as home health care.
The Executive Director is also accountable for the performance and operation of the health plan, including marketing and enrollment, utilization management, network development, and rate development.
The Executive Director ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations applicable to PACE programs as well as necessary licensure to operate as a provider and health plan.
As the senior leader with accountability for the program, the Executive Director develops and represents the clients strategies and goals to external parties, with medical and senior services providers in the community, with
PACE and senior services trade associations, and with federal and state regulatory agencies.
Must have excellent personnel management skills to create a strong team-based customer-oriented culture that strives for continuous improvement. Ability to coach and mentor program leaders and develop and maintain a cohesive, effective leadership team.
Detailed knowledge of managed health care operations and the PACE model and/or other innovative community-based long term care programs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, skills in making presentations to varied internal and external audiences.
Must be able to lead program including obtaining support from various levels of management as well as front line staff and providers.
Demonstrated ability to make appropriate decisions in a timely fashion to guide program through complex situations affecting participant care.
Strong financial management skills – health provider and health plan experience preferred.
Experience working with senior management and physician leaders as well as community advisory committees is required.
Experience in management of a program that must be compliant with complex state and federal regulations and requirements.
