Job Description

The Operations & Maintenance Certified Technician must be an independent working self-starter, with excellent customer oriented communication skills. The individual will be responsible for performing routine service and inspection of all mechanical equipment, electrical and plumbing systems, fire and security systems, as well as prioritize tasks throughout the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities, Achieve Center, Hattie Larlham Group Homes, and Hattie Larlham Supported Living. The Operations & Maintenance Certified Technician must be able to perform preventative and predictive maintenance of complex utility systems, as well as be flexible to perform general facility maintenance, minor repairs, and a variety of miscellaneous duties as assigned. This individual must be flexible to be on call 24/7, to provide customer assistant for emergency repairs and will report too and work directly with the Maintenance Supervisor.


The Operations & Maintenance Certified Technician Position is a first shift, 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday
position. Hours may vary for on call emergencies, where the individual will be placed on call from Friday afternoon to the following Friday morning. This individual must be flexible to be on call 24/7 during emergency situations.


Qualifications

The Operations & Maintenance Certified Technician should have at least 3 years experience, knowledge in building/remodeling, building practices/trades, HVAC, refrigeration, controls, boilers, laundry equipment, environmental services, fire and safety systems, emergency power systems, vehicle maintenance, and standards, practices, and procedures that govern long term care facilities.

  • GED/High School Diploma
  • Electrical Certification
  • HVAC with EPA Certification
  •  Waste Water Treatment Plant License
  •  Certified Pool Operator
  • Ohio Stationary Engineers License
  • Valid State of Ohio Driver's License
