Job Description

He aha te tūranga - About the role:

Making over 90,000 trips per year, the St John Health Shuttle is a koha-based community service that transports people to and from essential medical and health related appointments. The service is often used by older individuals and those experiencing barriers to transport.

Reporting to the Community Transport Manager, this position will be responsible for providing key administration and coordination functions, to support our local Community Transport Management team.

You will:

  • Being a professional first point of contact for members of the public wanting to book our services and scheduling in these bookings
  • Ensure accurate entry of customer data and the maintenance of client records (both electronic and hardcopy) which meet the requirements of the Privacy Act
  • Ensure Health Shuttle donation revenue is receipted and deposited in a timely, professional manner
  • Assist local Team Leaders in coordinating vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Assist local Team Leaders in recording, investigating and following up on incidents/complaints when required and appropriate
  • Lead the recruitment process for your designated services including assessing applicant suitability, arranging interview and shuttle observations etc., through to onboarding of new volunteers 

This is a permanent, full-time position, working either 8am-4.30pm or 8.30am-5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have clear and concise communication skills, with confidence speaking with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders/clients
  • Have strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Be computer and tech savvy, with experience working with the MS Office suite as well as other CRM software
  • Be able to deal with conflicting priorities in a reactive environment
  • Have the ability to build strong, meaningful relationships across a diverse range of people
  • Be confident and professional in dealing with a variety of customers over the phone with patience and kindness
  • Have a good geographical knowledge of Aotearoa
