Job Description

You will play a critical role in assessing and managing health-related risks across a range of pre-planned events, while delivering high-quality event medical care. Operating with a high level of autonomy and professional judgement, you will ensure safe, effective service delivery and contribute to positive outcomes for patients, customers, and communities.
You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and knows how to balance operational delivery with strong relationships both external and internal.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality patient care in line with Authority to Practice and Comprehensive Clinical Guidelines
- Proactively identifying, assessing, and managing risks and hazards at events, taking appropriate action or escalating where required
- Building and maintaining strong, credible relationships with event health services customers internally and externally
- Providing visible, professional presence on-site to support safe and coordinated event delivery
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting operational delivery and ensuring service performance meets contractual and organisational expectations
- Acting as a key connector across rostering, internal and external communications, and Health Services operational teams to maintain seamless service delivery
- Building and maintaining strong, credible relationships with event organisers and stakeholders
- Supporting workforce utilisation, resource optimisation, and operational readiness
- Leading by example to foster a high-performing, accountable, and values-driven culture
- Contributing to continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to strengthen service delivery and customer outcomes
Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to:
- Level 3 New Zealand Certificate in Emergency Care whilst desirable, can be obtained within the first six months of appointment.
- A full, clean NZ driver’s licence
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to stay calm, adaptable and solutions-focused under pressure
- A proactive, “get it done” mindset with strong organisational skills
- Confidence working across multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Competence using Microsoft Office and operational systems
- A genuine commitment to patient care, safety, and continuous improvement
