We are currently recruiting for TWO Paramedics to join our team in Doubtless Bay!
These are both permanent positions, working a DDNN 4 x 4 roster.
Doubtless Bay is a stunning natural haven with 26 beaches and 70km of coastline. The Doubtless Bay area extends from Taupo Bay in the East to the Karikari Peninsula in the West. The unspoilt coastline ensures an abundance of wildlife, excellent fishing, water activities and hiking/walking opportunities. There is lots to see and do with excellent schools and activities to be a part of.
We are looking for an experienced paramedics who are adaptable and can settle into our team with ease, work alongside both paid and volunteer staff, and provide a high level of care to our patients. The ideal applicant would have a positive demeanour, willingness to contribute to station portfolios, and champion clinical excellence.
This station has been identified as a low Unit Hour Utilisation (UHU) station. To support organisational goals and funder expectations, particularly in increasing the "Hear and Advise" rates, this role is expected to undertake Remote Triage duties.
Qualifications
Ko wai koe - About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current St John Authority to Practice at Paramedic level
- Current Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council
- Excellent operational and clinical performance to date
- Excellent driving record
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
- The ability to work under pressure
- Evidence of CCE
- Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
