Job Description

Position Purpose

We’re looking for a hands-on Integration Developer to deliver and support end-to-end integrations across a wide range of systems and data sources. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity within an organisation undergoing significant transformation and digital change.

Working closely with business stakeholders, application teams, and infrastructure specialists, you’ll design, build, and maintain integration solutions between enterprise systems using Azure Integration Services (AIS) and MuleSoft (MS). You’ll ensure integrations are secure, scalable, and high-performing, supporting the organisation’s business processes and digital transformation goals.

You’ll also contribute to API management, data transformation, and integration best practices — helping to strengthen our overall integration capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver robust integration solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, security, and business requirements.

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership across integration design, development, and delivery — mentoring others where appropriate.

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions using Azure and MuleSoft.

  • Implement API management and governance practices, ensuring consistency and reliability across the integration landscape.

  • Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for integration deployments.

  • Maintain documentation and ensure all integration processes comply with technical and governance standards.

  • Partner with system owners and vendors to identify and implement improvements to business processes and integration performance.

  • Provide technical input into business cases, project plans, and impact assessments for proposed changes.

  • Engage with other senior technical staff to remove impediments and ensure delivery outcomes are met.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of integration and software design standards and best practices within the Digital & Data team.

Qualifications

Ko wai koe - About you:

You’re an experienced integration developer who thrives in complex, evolving environments. You bring:

  • Strong experience with Azure Integration Services (AIS) and MuleSoft.

  • Solid understanding of API development, data transformation, and system integration patterns.

  • Experience in CI/CD, DevOps, and secure integration practices.

  • The ability to balance hands-on technical delivery with collaboration and leadership across teams.

  • A structured, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
