We are looking for a hands-on, strategic Financial Systems Manager to lead the ongoing development and effective operation of our core financial systems. This is a pivotal role that works across functions to increase collaboration, influence systems design, promote simplicity and drive integration across financial processes.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting & Control and managing a small but capable team of three, this role will be instrumental in delivering financial systems implementations, system updates and improvements and enabling end users to ensure the smooth running of financial applications for the business.
- Leading the implementation and smooth transition from Microsoft Solomon to Dynamics 365 Business Central, in partnership with our project and implementation teams.
- Provide leadership and system management of critical strategic financial systems applications and the financial data strategy.
- Design and drive integration of key technical/IT controls across the finance, receivables and payments systems landscape, mitigating financial and business risk
- Partner with Digital & Data to troubleshoot, design and deliver solutions to financial systems challenges.
- Act as a technical bridge between Finance and other internal teams to ensure effective end-to-end system performance and data quality.
- Ensure a high level of support for finance transactions and accounting management throughout any systems change process.
Qualifications
Ko wai koe - About you:
- Significant experience managing financial systems in large organisations.
- Strong working knowledge, preferably of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP platforms)
- Relevant degree and/or accounting qualification
- Proven experience in successfully implementing financial systems and delivering financial software - new applications or upgrades.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical analyses simply to financial and non-financial audiences
- Ability to balance day-to-day administration with longer-term systems planning and upgrades.
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to build trusted relationships across finance, digital and operations.
- A passion for continuous improvement and driving simplicity through systems and process design.
