We have a permanent opportunity for a Relief Emergency Medical Assistant to join our team in the Horowhenua covering Foxton, Otaki and Levin Stations. (base station Levin)

In this role you will: 

• Work alongside a qualified Ambulance Officer
• Drive the ambulance and assist with the delivery of patient care (under supervision)
• Ensure operational readiness of vehicle and equipment
• Complete other relevant administrative tasks. 

Ko wai koe - About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• a minimum of a Hato Hone St John First Responder qualification or ATP of EMT
• a full NZ driving licence and either have held it for at least one year OR have completed an NZTA approved advanced driving course.
• Demonstrate behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui).
