He aha te tūranga - About the role:

We are seeking applications from Extended Care Paramedics to support the Horowhenua team. You will be relieving existing Romeo units to provide cover on Romeo units as required. 

This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills and knowledge in community paramedicine, improve outcomes for patients with non-urgent injuries and illnesses and play an important role in helping to reduce the pressure on the emergency ambulances and the wider health sector.  

Applicants should be able to fit into the team with ease, demonstrate initiative and adaptability and be comfortable with new challenges, providing care to patients in all ages and stages of health. 

Qualifications

Ko wai koe - About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current St John Authority to Practice at Extended Care Paramedic level
  • Current Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council
  • Excellent operational and clinical performance to date
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
  • A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
