Job Description
He aha te tūranga - About the role:
The Major Incident Support Team (MIST) plays a crucial role in ensuring that Hato Hone St John delivers a world-leading response during major incidents and large events. The MIST volunteers are non-clinical and support the Ambulance Operations and Event Health Services teams at planned and unplanned events during periods of high workload or crisis. This could include major sporting events, festivals, concerts, as well as responding to major incidents and natural disasters.
There are 4 areas where you can be involved (although you may not be needed at each event). These include Administration, Communications, Welfare, and Logistics.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current, clean full NZ Driver's Licence, with the ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles confidently.
- A First Aid certificate
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- To be flexible, resilient and able to maintain performance under pressure
- To be physically fit
- To be 18 years of age or over
- New Zealand citizenship, permanent resident status or on an open work visa.
