Job Description

As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a critical role in shaping financial and operational decisions for your designated portfolio - going beyond the numbers to provide insights that drive success. Partnering closely with your respective Deputy Chief Executive (DCE), you’ll deliver tactical and informed commercial support to ensure that their strategic and organisational goals are met.

Accountabilities include:

  • Build and maintain relationships of credibility with the DCE and senior leaders of the directorate, acting on an informed understanding of the business and the external environment to provide articulate, informed finance advice and support.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership with the development and execution of integrated business plan strategies for your directorate.  
  • Manage the directorate budgeting, planning and forecasting processes and financial analysis.
  • Support decision-making with robust financial models, projections and scenarios to meet long-term sustainable financial plans and short-term needs.
  • Enhance the commercial and financial awareness and understanding of directorate stakeholders, empowering them to make informed, value-driven decisions.

Qualifications

Are you a commercially minded finance professional looking to make an impact within a truly purposeful organisation? Success will require the following:

  • Membership of CAANZ or equivalent
  • Strong Finance Business Partnering experience (or similar commercial finance experience) within a large complex organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills. Proven ability in developing relationships across a business and the ability to influence and challenge at senior levels.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in best practice financial planning processes (budgeting, forecasting, long term financial planning), developing business cases and strategic scenario analysis.
  • Strong strategic capability, change management practice and commercial acumen.
