 Hato Hone St John is seeking a dedicated Operational Effectiveness Advisor – Workforce & Planning to play a key role in shaping the future of ambulance services in New Zealand. As part of our Operational Effectiveness team, you will support critical workforce pipeline and planning initiatives, ensuring the seamless delivery of services within the Emergency Ambulance Service (EAS).

  • Collaborate with District Operations Managers (DOMs) to maintain and manage workforce needs and recruitment planning.
  • Support the recruitment and training of ambulance personnel, ensuring timely delivery of services.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in workforce planning and the development of recruitment pipelines.
  • Use data and business intelligence systems to analyse workforce needs and optimise resources.
  • Support transformational change processes, ensuring smooth transitions within the service delivery model.
  • Facilitate local and national consultations on changes to operational delivery.
  • Promote Hato Hone St John’s vision and values through positive engagement with staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in resource planning and workforce management within emergency services or a similar environment.
  • Expertise in data analysis and using business intelligence tools.
  • A strong understanding of change management and the ability to drive transformation in a health environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • A commitment to supporting the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and New Zealand’s diverse communities.
