Job Description
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for young leaders within Hato Hone St John! The Hato Hone St John Central Regional Trust Board is seeking expressions of interest for a Youth Board intern position. This unique role is designed to provide a dedicated and enthusiastic member with the chance to learn, participate, and observe governance at the regional level within a supportive environment.
About the Opportunity
As a Youth Board intern, you will:
- Gain valuable insights into the governance processes of the Hato Hone St John Central Region Trust Board.
- Participate in board discussions, providing a youthful perspective on various initiatives.
- Work alongside experienced board members, enhancing your leadership and governance skills.
Qualifications
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: You must be between 18 and 25 years old and reside in the Central Region of NZ.
- Membership: Open only to active volunteer members of Hato Hone St John.
- Commitment: A willingness to commit to regular board meetings (approx 11 per year online / in person) and related activities.
What we’re looking for
- Passion and understanding of the work of Hato Hone St John in the community.
- An interest in governance.
- Good relationship building and communication skills (including listening).
- A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.
- Passion for providing a youth voice to champion young people’s needs and feedback.
