Job Description

Our London Studio is looking for a graduate landscape architect to undertake design, documentation and construction phase services at the direction of senior personnel on a range of project types.

The Graduate Landscape Architect position at Hassell is designed to support your professional growth. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing your knowledge in grading, planting, ecology, materials, and landscape architecture technicalities. Those who possess multidisciplinary expertise in landscape architecture and urban design, coupled with prior experience in public realm projects, are preferred. 
  • Efficient communication of design ideas.
  • Collaborative development of design options to support design teams.
  • Advocating for and applying principles of environmentally responsive design.
  • Actively participating in the design process to meet and exceed project objectives.
  • Utilising digital tools and/or hand sketching for design expression.
  • Preparing project documentation with industry-standard software
  • Producing high-quality presentation materials.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture and/or Horticulture.
  • Familiar with UK design standards.
  • Strong capabilities in Rhinocerous3D and Adobe Creative Suite (Grasshopper and Revit desirable)
  • Have great interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be able to take initiative in response to direction or instruction from Practice Leader.
  • Be able to take initiative in response to direction or instruction.
  • Keen on pursuing a career in design with a focus on innovation.
